The M.CT.M Chidambaram Chettyar International School was founded in the year 2009 with a view to providing a form of education that would prepare students to meet the present day challenges. It was the first Indian School in Chennai to offer the International Baccalaureate programme for grades 11 and 12 (IBDP).

Aims
The primary aims that the M.CT.M. Chidambaram Chettyar International School has kept before itself are to develop the body, mind, intellect and conscience of the pupils and to help them to think how to use them in the service of the community and the country.
School’s Purpose
M.CT.M. Chidambaram Chettyar International School will be a place where children should excel not only in academics but also combine with it an insight into India’s rich cultural heritage. The School will provide its Pupils proficiency in co-curricular activities, sports and games.
IB Diploma Programme
The IB Diploma Programme prepares students aged 16 to 19, for success in higher education and to be active participants in a global society. It is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with final examinations that prepares students, for success at university and life beyond. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students. The programme has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities.
IGCSE
IGCSE is a two year course taken in Grade 9 and Grade 10 and is designed for 14 to 16 year olds. IGCSE is known for developing vital educational knowledge, understanding and skills. They are established qualifications that keep pace with educational developments and trends and so are an ideal foundation for higher level courses such as AS and A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
